Sucrose, 2 x 500 gm, Lyophilization Certified

Sucrose, Lyophilization Certified, is one of two lyoprotectants offered by OPS Diagnostics for the preservation of microorganisms, proteins, DNA, and other biomolecules (the other is Trehalose, Lyophilization Certified).  Both Trehalose and Sucrose are disaccharides that are effective at maintaining the integrity of biological systems when they are dehydrated during the freeze drying process.

Sucrose, Lyophilization Certified, is lot tested to ensure its effectiveness.  Sucrose is widely used and less expensive than the alternative, trehalose.
