96 Well SYNERGY Plant DNA Extraction Kit 

OPS Diagnostics’ SYNERGY™ DNA extraction platform includes a 96 well plate format for isolating high quality plant DNA in a timely and cost-effective manner without the use of hazardous phenol or chloroform.  The high throughput format is valuable for greatly accelerating scientific research and discovery.  The high throughput format and related automation allow for reliable testing, screening, and analysis of increasingly large batches of samples while saving time for processing and resources.

Building upon the same proprietary nucleic acid isolation chemistry found in the original SYNERGY™ Plant DNA Extraction Kit, the 96 Well SYNERGY™ Plant DNA Extraction Kit includes materials to process two 96 Deep Well Plates (192 preps). This method utilizes dry filter and binding plates to yield and purify genomic DNA of the highest quality and quantity for downstream applications. This high-throughput DNA extraction kit has a wide range of applications across many scientific disciplines and is an essential tool in molecular biology, genetics, and biochemistry. Some of the key applications are in agriculture, biotechnology, and genomics research.  In agriculture and biotechnology, the kit is used for plant pathogen detection, disease diagnostics, and as a tool for breeding for desirable crop traits such as yield, insect pest and disease resistance. High-throughput kits are used to prepare DNA samples for next-generation sequencing, which is fundamental for genomics research. Unlike competing kits that do not incorporate sample preparation into their DNA extraction protocols, the 96 Well SYNERGY™ Plant DNA Extraction Kit includes pre-filled deep well plates necessary for a bead beating homogenization step, allowing for high throughput sample processing with minimal variation in upstream sample preparation. Individual eight tube strips can be removed from the plate to accommodate full or partial plate homogenization.  As many as 192 samples of any plant species or part (leaves, stem, roots, flowers, and fruits) or microorganisms can be processed in as little as two hours.

The 96 Well SYNERGY™ Plant DNA Extraction Kit includes: two pre-filled 96 Well Homogenization Plates (each containing grinding resin and stainless-steel grinding balls), two Well Support Mats, Plant Homogenization Buffer (100 ml), RNase A Solution (1800 μl), two Filter Plates, two Binding Plates, four Collection Plates with lids, two Elution Plates with lids, and instructions.
