FavorPrep™ Lyticase Solution

FavorPrep™ Lyticase Solution is designed as a ready-to-used formula for breaking down yeast and fungal cell walls in nucleic acid extraction.
Lyticase is an enzyme that specifically targets β-1,3-glucan, a major component of yeast cell walls, facilitating efficient lysis and DNA release. In the nucleic acid extraction, Lyticase co-treated with proteinase K or zymolase will help to obtain higher yields of nucleic acids. Although mechanical disruption-based extraction methods can yield a good amount of nucleic acids, however, it can cause severe DNA fragmentation, affecting downstream molecular biology applications.
FavorPrep™ Lyticase Solution is manufactured using a specialized process to ensure the absence of DNase, RNase, and DNA residues. The liquid form ensures user-friendliness. It can be applied in genomic DNA and RNA extraction from yeast and fungi and can be used for a wide range of downstream applications, such as qPCR and NGS.
